M's Birthday. Part Quatre: Jupiter Bowl

M's birthday bash continues after a restless joyful sleepover with my favorite girls on earth. Girls woke super early and even made their own pancakes for breakfast. Mom gets to sleep in (yes!). Girls plotted a day of gaming and bowling at Daly's at The Montage. We headed straight to Deer Valley for early elegance. Daly's was closed! A minor bummer, but no worries. We improvised, touring the hotel from top to bottom, striking Smurfy poses at every photo-op. See?
After excessive cardio exploration up and down, in and out and all around this gorgeous (and dead empty, yes it's shoulder season) hotel, we called the valet and took our party to Jupiter Bowl. We are nonstop party animals!
Jupiter Bowl!
I ordered more junk while the girls hit the arcade. (Sorry moms about all the fried food!) The food here is always good and consistent.
Chicken Fingers and Fries.
Macaroni and Cheese.
Hotdog and Fries.
Mom's hefe.
Cheese Pizza.
Photobooths ROCK!
Ah, the magic of happy youth! Happy Birthday my dear! xoxo

Jupiter Bowl in Park City -- a birthday party!

Jupiter Bowl was the perfect posh spot for an indulgent yet relaxed birthday party for Max, turning 9 years old! In two cars, a Flex and a Forester, we whisked the third grade crew up directly from school and to the bowling alley for an afternoon of party-packaged fun in the fancy 4-lane private party room...
Immediately upon entering, we were greeted with balloons and gobs of junk food. The kids, like ravenous animals, stuffed themselves with candy and chips.
Cheese pizza...
Chicken Fingers and Fries...
We relocated to the Arcade where Brett, the other chaperone and keeper of $40+ in tokens, contained the party-goers and rationed coins.
Then back to the room where we faced the completely frustrating challenge of lighting 14 wicks as quickly as possible.
Cake was from Cold Stone Creamery just down the street. Flavor: MMMMINT Chip. It was frozen solid, even after sitting room temperature for at least 15 minutes. Happy Birthday my wonderful Max! xoxo
Happy days always...
Gifts were an impressive selection of Legos and Pokemon—so generous and spot-on!
Okay, now the fun stuff...party favors!
Check out the selection...a la Dollar Store.  xo

Jupiter Bowl in Park City

It was late on a school night and pouring rain and snow. I decided to take the kids out to dinner to brush up on restaurant etiquette, table manners, polite group conversation, etc. We hit Jupiter Bowl at the junction for dinner and arcade. The restaurant part is located up front near the door, walled off from that awesome bowling alley, bar, pool hall and arcade. You can come for GREAT FOOD and then decide to bowl or not :)

It was Karaoke Night at the restaurant! Tweens and teens took the mic rapping and rockin' to clean edited tracks of Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Eminem, Beastie Boys...

Fried Calamari, lemon caper aioli, spicy cocktail sauce, $8.
BBQ Chicken Pizza, chorizo, corn relish, monterey jack, cilantro lime crema, $11.
Cheeseless Pizza, $6
Chicken Fingers, french fries, $6.
Boneless Buffalo Wings, celery, carrot, blue cheese slaw, $8.
Mac n Cheese, $6.
Jupiter Fries, $4.
Arcade.
Marky is the doodler.

Jupiter Bowl munchies and staying on track :)

It was 2:30pm, after lunch but not yet time for dinner. We hit the arcade at Jupiter Bowl for fun grub and a good time. The Lift Grill and Lounge, the restaurant serving the bowling alley, has a great menu with reasonable prices. We ordered some standard kiddie fare: Jupiter Fries, Sweet Potato Fries and Mac N Cheese (...and a glass of Riesling for me!).
Above, Jupiter Fries $4, glass of Riesling $7. Below, Sweet Potato Fries $4.
Macaroni and Cheese, $6. The four girls shared two orders.
Happy Girls, kid food, loud Top 20 music playing....! Woohoo!
Miss Kraft, 1st grade teacher, sent home this poem on the first day of school. These friendly reminders (though TOTALLY cliché, I know!) help me stay on track...

Children Learn What They Live
by Dorothy Law Nolte

If a child lives with criticism, he learns to condemn.
If a child lives with hostility, he learns to fight.
If a child lives with fear, he learns to be apprehensive.
If a child lives with pity, he learns to feel sorry for himself.
If a child lives with ridicule, he learns to be shy.
If a child lives with jealousy, he learns what envy is.
If a child lives with shame, he learns to feel guilty.

If a child lives with encouragement, he learns to be confident.
If a child lives with tolerance, he learns to be patient.
If a child lives with praise, he learns to be appreciative.
If a child lives with acceptance, he learns to love.
If a child lives with approval, he learns to like himself.
If a child lives with recognition, he learns that it is good to have a goal.
If a child lives with sharing, he learns about generosity.

If a child lives with honesty and fairness, he learns what truth and justice are.
If a child lives with security, he learns to have faith in him self and in those about him.
If a child lives with friendliness, he learns what the world is a nice place in which to live.
If you live with serenity, your child will live with peace of mind.

With what is your child living?

Fruit of the day: Strawberries.
