Monkey Peeler Slaves over Carrots:)

Cool and kitschy! I love knives and beautiful crystal, but I also LOVE perfect little stuff, like slick peelers. Here is a polished plastic orange monkey using a blade as a free weight. Sick design and the color is close to a Hermes orange - chic!

This "Animal House Monkey Peeler" by Boston Warehouse retails for $14.20 and I got it for $4.99 at TJ Maxx. Located right next to my kids' gymnastics, I can't help but wander in every once in a while hunting for deals in housewares.
BIG HIT with the kids! What began as a busy task to cut carrots for chicken noodle soup evolved into an afternoon of carrot-sculpting and a side of munching on razor-thin pappardelle-style raw carrots. Below, a BEFORE picture of the humongous fat organic carrots we started with.
Hours of fun AND they get to hone their peeling technique. Gotta start em young. Brilliant afternoon. Kids ended up eating about 2/3 of the carrots!
Carrot Art rules. Good times with Super Orange Monkey Peeler - YEAH!
