The perfect family activity to do after a full day at Legoland is PICKING STRAWBERRIES! At the I-15 Exit in Carlsbad, as you are leaving Legoland, on your right you'll see acres of green with a cute little farmer's stand in front, the Carlsbad Strawberry Company!
In Carlsbad, strawberry picking season goes from March until early about July. Here, you can pick your own strawberries! You have to buy buckets from the attendants, $8 for a small and $15 for a large. My kids ate as they picked. With five kids (we brought along a little friend!) and five buckets overflowing with strawberries, we had a ton for crepes and smoothies all week long.
