dinner at Zibby's

Zibby, hostess with the mostess, is the reason for my obsession with dinner parties and Fendi orange. 
Before dinner, we gathered in the sitting room for cocktails and tray passed hors d'oeuvres of yummy traditional gourmet finger foods. Dinner was fabulous and brilliant conversation. Since it was also Jim's birthday, we each got our very own chocolate cake with a candle to blow out! Fun!
Scallops Noodles Salad.  Giant seared scallops were served on top of vermicelli rice noodles and a sort of super fruity tangy mango salsa. Delicious refreshing start.
Lamb Chops.  Lamb chops were prepared with a traditional mint jus, baked asparagus and parmesan and fingerling potatoes. There was a salmon alternative for non-meat eaters.
Biscuits.  A basket of fresh biscuits and extra lamb chops were passed around.
Grapefruit Salad.  Fresh greens, pine nuts, pomegranate and grapefruit segments with a light vinaigrette. 
Chocolate Cake and Berries.  Happy Birthday to Jim....and to me! We love you, Zibby!
All the men left with a fancy party favor tie. :)
