Silver Resturant in Park City - dinner

16 days after my femur surgery and 7 days after Lea's knee surgery, we decided to double-date and celebrate at Silver. It was a gorgeous day, near-perfect weather on Main Street for hopping around on crutches :') The food was fabulous as usual, particularly the special "Deconstructed Beef Wellington" and House Meatballs. The grand finale was an exquisite international dessert wine tastingdecadent!
Spy Valley Riesling.  Perfect starterlight, crisp and refreshing.
Challah-like Bread and Basil Garlic Olive Oil.  Completely addictingI'm warning you!
Vegetable Spring Rolls.  Good, but fell apart immediately (and they were totally not Vietnamese!).
House Meatballs.  What an awesome meatball! Lea was convinced there was fois gras in it and kept bugging our server for the recipe. Order this, love it and share it.
Lump Crab Salad.  Highly recommended by hubby, Barry ordered this and loved it.
Steamed Mussels.
Brussel Sprouts with Pancetta.  Yummy.
Brussel Sprouts, sans Pancetta.  We just love those brussel sprouts, even this kosher version.
Roasted Cauliflower.  You have to order this for your table. Straight up sweet intense cauliflower.
ParmesanTruffle Fries.  These are so rich, one fry per guest is really enough. Share this one too.
Local Red Trout.  The shitake mushroom sauce on top is amazing.
Local Red Trout without the Shitake.  Shockingly, we discovered that Barry does not like shitake mushrooms?!?!?!
Deconstructed Beef Wellington.  I just HAD to order this one. The puff pastry was unnecessary but I guess this was the "Wellington" part. The bone-in was done perfectly "rare-plus" (somewhere between rare and medium-rare) topped off with foie gras... FOIE GRAS!!! What a rich and delicious cut of meat.
Trio of Sorbets.  Mexican chocolate was way spicy (hubby loves it). All the sorbets are made in-house.
Molten Chocolate S'more.
(1) Michele Chiarlo Nivole Moscatolight, sparkling and sweet Italian.
(2) Chateau Rieussec Sauternesbrilliant and light from France, my favorite.
(3) Royal Tokai Aszu 5 Puttonyosrich flavors of orange peel and honey from Hungary.
(4) Far Niente DolceItalian name is from Napa Valley.
(5) Warres 20 Year Tawny Portoa beautiful sweet red dessert wine from Portugal.
Girlfriends in crutches ALWAYS stick together! xoxo
