Nobu in the Bahamas

The last 5 Nobu meals were so bad we always swore to never come back! Last week were forced into Nobu again, this time at the grand family-friendly Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas. It was late, we were starving and we had nowhere else to goliterally, our last resort. The Atlantis Casino Resort is the largest resort in the Bahamas and it is also the most coveted and respected job placement on the islands next to any government position. You'd think the service would be mind-blowing, but NOit was painfully slow, disorganized, sloppy and expensive. A total bummer.
We sat at the sushi bar. Seat was sticky and menu was food-stained and half-ripped. Hubby's cup of coffee arrived 45 minutes after ordering it. Our eggplant kitchen order never came out, even after 2 hours and 15 minutes. The server kept saying "2 minutes!" Come here only if you enjoy being ignored by your waiter and have hours to kill and money to blow on overpriced sushi.
Hamachi Scallion Hand Roll, $16.  Our sushi guy was fantastic even though this order was just a plain classic. The hand rolls were deliciousperfect rice, sensational flavors, awesome texture.
House Special Soft Shell Crab Roll, $18.  This roll came out 1 hour and 45 minutes later. It was such a long slow night that I actually forgot about this roll completely until I uploaded my pix ;'/  2 cups of lukewarm coffee, $7.50.
It was long night. I will resist Nobu from now on ;'(
